Kingdom Hearts Coded
Part of the 3 new installments of the Kingdom Hearts series, focusing on Sora and Jimminy Cricket, this game has been consider Chain Of Memories 2 since the style of the gameplay and the story, this game assembles Sora in his old clothes, which it might be or after Kingdom Hearts 1 or before Kingdom Hearts 1. The worlds we see in this game are Traverse Town and Destiny Islands. Disney characters in this game are Mickey and Jimminy Cricket. This trailer will explain better the game.
Trailer Description:
When the video begins, we are introduced with a series of images, followed by the words “Kingdom Hearts: New Concepts and Game Titles.” Right after this, the ending to Kingdom Hearts 2 plays, followed by the phrases “The secret ending has been dealt with, and the worlds extend once again” and “flow”.
The screen fades back in to Jiminy Cricket and the phrase “Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories”. He is peering into his journal, noticing a phrase he cannot remember writing. It reads “You need to return, to heal the wounds”. This phrase seems to alert Jiminy in some way, as he runs off to report the finding to King Mickey. The king is startled by the discovery, but only replies with “Only he is the one who can solve it.”
We fade in and out to Sora standing on the beach at Destiny Islands. He is wearing his Kingdom Hearts 1 style clothing, but he is only shown as computer data being transmitted.
When the image of Sora dissapears, a battle scene commences. As Sora is movning blocks around to finsish a puzzle game, heartless are attacking from all angles. The gameplay mecahnics seem very odd. After the puzzle is finished, a command called “Debugging” appears on the screen. After being activated, Sora moves extremely quickly and then vanishes.
The last scene includes Sora aned Mickey in Traverse Town. Mickey says to no one in particular “I was here on that day.” and “Let’s speak truly”.

i’ve been wondering if you have to own all the kh games to understand the saga. i have 1&2 (on last level of 1, beaten 2.) and understood them fine without chain of memories and whatever the hell final mix was.but after seeing trailers for this and kh3, i’m wondering if i’ll have to buy a million fucki’n systems and play every single game.and yes, this is for phones but only in japan.and being off subject, if i could make kh4,it would be about mickey’s adventures that started in kh1.and you could even play as him he kicks ass!!!

Despite your immaturity, I will answer your original question. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are the main games of the series, games like Chains of Memories, Birth by Sleep (comming), 358/2 days (comming), etc will not be vital to understand the story, but more to understand MORE of the story than seen in the main games. If you play KH1, and then KH2, and then move on, you should understand the main story, but if you want to understand why Sora sleeps in that thing in the start of KH2 for example, you have to play Chains of Memories, where you learn about him getting his memories messed up, and have to sleep in that thing to let Naminé fix what she messed up. So no, you do not have to own consoles like the DS or PsP to get the whole story, but I recommend it.
Ps. The Final Mix games are just a little remake of the main games including some few extra bosses and two-three scenes extra, not an entirely new game.

I want it only because it has to do with Kingdom Hearts. It looks like it would be challanging only becuase i suck at using my phone as a video game controller (Notice the sarcasim). It will be something Kingdom Hearts though. I even saw a trailer! RIKU is in it!!!

I’ve played all of the games, and I love them, but I don’t understand why it’s been like 4 yrs since kingdom hearts 3 and it upsets me that japan is the only one that has access to it when it first comes out, same as birth by sleep the sick new installment to the whole beginning of the kingdom hearts series, it’s already out in japan, it came out this month, and we still have heard no word of whether it will become available to the land of the free, or any other countries for this matter.

Several voice actors have confirmed to be working on the north american / english version of the game, so its confirmed there will be one. And seeing as psp games are not bound to continents like ps2 etc, you have no problems importing the game if you do not live in NA.
