Game Mechanics

The game mechanics aren’t really as user-friendly as the first game. Thankfully, the hooded fellow Xemnas is there to runyou through almost everything, step by step, and if not, a small detailed description upon gaining it to run you through it.

You run around, same as the first game, and can attack boxes or spheres, any field item, and it will burst open with HP or MP bubbles, or even Moogle points.

There are also save points at each doorway, so you can save before entering or leaving one, and some save points in between. Also, doors have been fitted with a card system. Each door has a card cost that you must pay in ‘event cards’. Some go by color or numbers (or both), such as 3 blue and 2 red.

More important doors have a higher cost, and a special, white card such as “Key”, “Light”, or “Heart”. You can tell if a door is important by it’s cost. (I believe the card for the door to the last stage was around 200 blue, 115 green and “Heart”. )
